These Mokume Gane dangle earrings are made from sheet of alternating layers of copper and sterling silver.
The pattern was formed at the edge of the stock as it was run through the rolling mill. Additional figuring was completed after the stock was flattened. Once finished the earrings were given a patina that increases the contrast between the copper and silver stripes. A light wax coating was added to help preserve the patina; note the patina may change slightly over time with wear. The ear wires are made from sterling silver wire by hand. Each earring is approximately 1 3/8" long and 1/2" wide.
Two pairs of ear wire guards are included to firmly secure the ear wires.
